1. Who We Are
Servvo is a two-sided marketplace platform incorporated in the State of Texas that connects independent service providers ("Providers") with customers seeking services ("Customers"). Servvo acts solely as a technology platform and does not employ Providers or perform services directly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Registration: Full name, email address, phone number, password, date of birth, and user type (Customer or Provider).
- Provider Profile: Business name, service categories, service descriptions, pricing, profile photograph, government-issued identification documents, and professional licenses or certifications.
- Identity Verification: Government-issued photo ID and a real-time selfie or profile photograph submitted for identity verification purposes. These are processed through Amazon Rekognition, a third-party facial comparison service operated by Amazon Web Services, Inc.
- Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Servvo does not store raw credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or full payment card data on our servers.
- Communications: Messages sent through the Platform, support requests, feedback, and responses to surveys or promotions.
- Service Listings: Descriptions, photographs, pricing, and availability submitted by Providers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data while you use the Platform. For active jobs, real-time location data is collected to enable job tracking features.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type, IP address, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Pages and features accessed, search queries, booking history, interactions with other users, timestamps, and clickstream data.
- Log Data: Server logs including IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze trends, and administer the Platform.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- Identity verification results from Amazon Rekognition.
- Payment processing information from Stripe, Inc.
- Information from social media platforms if you choose to connect your account.
- Publicly available information used to verify Provider credentials.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create, maintain, and secure your account.
- To facilitate bookings between Customers and Providers.
- To verify the identity of Providers through our identity verification process.
- To process payments and manage financial transactions through Stripe.
- To provide real-time GPS tracking during active jobs.
- To send booking confirmations, job updates, and transactional communications via SMS, push notification, and email.
- To display Provider profiles and service listings to Customers.
- To calculate and apply platform fees, volume tiers, founding status benefits, and promotional credits.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
- To improve the Platform through analytics and user research.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To send marketing and promotional communications where you have provided consent or where permitted by applicable law.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 Between Customers and Providers
When a booking is confirmed, we share relevant profile information between the Customer and Provider to facilitate the service. This includes name, profile photo, contact information, and real-time location during the active job.
4.2 Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who assist us in operating the Platform:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing
- Amazon Web Services / Rekognition — identity verification and cloud infrastructure
- Twilio, Inc. — SMS communications
- Resend — email communications
- Supabase — database and backend infrastructure
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Platform if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.
4.6 What We Do Not Do
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Biometric Data
Servvo does not store raw biometric data on our servers. Biometric data is processed in real time by Amazon Rekognition and is not retained by Servvo after the verification comparison is complete. We do not sell, lease, trade, or profit from biometric data. Biometric data is not shared with any third party except Amazon Web Services as the processor of the verification comparison.
By submitting identification documents and photographs for verification, you explicitly consent to this collection and processing. Residents of Illinois, Texas, Washington, and other states with biometric privacy laws are advised that this consent is required to use Provider features of the Platform.
6. Location Data
Servvo collects precise GPS location data for the following purposes:
- Enabling Customers to find available Providers in their area.
- Providing real-time tracking of Providers during active jobs.
- Verifying job completion and calculating route information.
Location data for active jobs is shared with the Customer who booked the service in real time. You may disable location permissions through your device settings, but doing so will limit your ability to use core Platform features. Precise location data collected during active jobs is retained for a limited period for dispute resolution purposes and then deleted or anonymized.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and dispute resolution.
8. Security
Servvo implements industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Platform.
11. Your Rights and Choices
11.1 Account Information
You may access, update, or correct your account information through the Platform's settings at any time.
11.2 Marketing Communications
You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any promotional email or by contacting us directly. You may not opt out of transactional communications related to your bookings and account.
11.3 Location Data
You may disable location permissions through your device settings. Note that disabling location access will limit your ability to use core Platform features.
11.4 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@servvo.io. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information subject to legal retention requirements.
11.5 Data Access and Portability
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at privacy@servvo.io. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
12. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- The right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Servvo does not sell personal information.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
- The right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a new effective date and, where required by law, by sending you a notification. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
